Andrew Cannon
Andrew Cannon was born in Hertfordshire and now lives in Swanage. He has played piano since discovering Elvis in the 1950’s, and has made several albums of Rock ‘n’ Roll and Country music showcasing his instrumental and vocal skills. More recently he moved to jazz and swing music,, founding the band ‘SWING EASY’ in 2017. He remains actively involved in other bands as well as organising musical events.

Sara Harris is a trained vocalist with a wealth of experience, having started out as a singer/songwriter in the 1980s with the Southampton based jazz/funk and soul band The Bloo Notes. She has performed at many high profile events including Swanage and Bournemouth jazz festivals, and Southampton Guildhall. As well as singing for Swing Easy, she performs as a solo artist with backing tracks, provides vocals on recording projects for various musicians, and is also part of the Ten#59

Stevie Geoghegan
Stevie Geoghegan first started singing and playing guitar in folk clubs in the 60s. Born and raised in Worcester, she married Pete in 1970, and for the next 40 years they performed together in a duo, trio and ceilidh band. In 2009 she was invited to perform some jazz standards with a local quartet, and then moved to Dorset. Her jazz pedigree now established, she started singing with Andrew Cannon in 2012, and has been part of Swing Easy ever since.

Simon Newton
Simon Newton is an experienced all-round guitarist, accompanist, and freelance musician. He has performed extensively in the South of England since the early 80’s with various duos as well as rock, soul, and jazz bands including Bournemouth based Musique à Trois and Ten#59. He is also a professional guitar teacher.

Joe Limburn
Joe Limburn started playing double bass at school, and by the age of 17 was offered a place at the Royal Academy of Music in London. He has played with some great names and artists in the jazz world, not to mention his virtuosity in other styles of music such as blues and Latin American. Swing Easy are privileged to have Joe as a regular part of the line up.

Bruce Evans
Bruce Evans first played a gig on bass during the interval of “Doctor No” at the Chingford Odeon in October 1962. Sixty years, umpteen bands and four recording contracts later, his journey has led him towards jazz and SwingEasy. He also plays keyboards as well as writing, arranging, singing and playing his own songs. His biggest joy is accompanying his son who plays tenor sax.

Paul Ambrose
Paul Ambrose is the newest member of SwingEasy. Originally from West London, he moved to Poole in 2010, and took up bass guitar bass guitar. A few years later he switched to drums, and developed an interest in jazz which has been his main focus since 2019. Outside of music he enjoys riding his Harley Davidson, as well as writing, cooking, and good wine!
